At the start of the race Mercedes AMG driver and championship leader, Lewis Hamilton, was fast, focused, and off to a brilliant start.
Hamilton finished 25 seconds ahead of Sebastian Vettel in the other Ferrari, while Felipe Massa crossed third, 47 seconds back.
Hollywood Celebrity and Star Wars creator George Lucas, conducted the podium interview amid the loud screams of the Tifosi crowd.
Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas both driving for Williams-Martini, fought and hung on to third, and fourth position, respectively. While Ferrari’s second driver Kimi Raikkonen, who started third on the grid, stalled at the start of the race, dropped back to seventeenth, but skillfully worked his way up, to finish fifth.
Hamilton’s Mercedes teammate, Nico Rosberg, suffered car problems towards the end of the race and did not finish, leaving him further behind Hamilton in championship points. Hamilton now holds a 53-point lead over Rosberg, who will struggle to catch up before the end of the season.
Sahara Force India’s Sergio Perez and Nico Hulkenberg, have consistently helped to keep their team in the top ten, and did so again today by finishing sixth, and seventh. Red Bull Daniel Ricciardo who was in third place last year, finished eighth, this year, and Sauber driver Marcus Ericcson, crossed the line in ninth. Rounding out the top ten was Red Bull’s second driver, Daniil Kvyat.

Hamilton has became the first driver to secure back-to-back wins at Monza since Damon Hill in 1993-94.
Now that Lewis Hamilton has won the Grand Prix at Monza, he only needs to win the Singapore race, to match his hero Aryton Senna.
If the car remains consistent, and Lewis remains focused like a Jedi Knight, the fans and the force will be with him, and he will accomplish the task.
