Today, in a large scale presentation which streamed on social media, the team which is considered the Monarch of Formula One, Scuderia Ferrari, unveiled their car for the 2018 season, the SF71H.
The SF71H is the sixty-seventh car design produced in house by Ferrari. This year’s car hopes to continue the momentum created by it’s predecessor last season when Ferrari were able to go toe-toe with Mercedes for the constructors title.
Addressing the challenges of the Halo, the team have added a aerodynamic fairing on top of the device, which was also seen on Sauber’s C37 that debuted earlier this week. They have also made significant improvements to the cooling system and have chosen to go with a longer wheel base.
Another noticeable change to the SF71H is it’s livery with the red being more prominent then in recent years.
Drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel are prepared for the challenges that await them this season with Vettel looking to challenge Lewis Hamilton in hopes of ending his championship drought.
Only three teams have yet to debut their cars before the start of preseason testing February 26 in Barcelona, Spain.
