With the second wave of car launches underway, Aston Martin Red Bull racing released images of it challenger for 2018, the RB14. As with all the cars this year, the RB14 will be showing off the latest in driver head protection, the “Halo,” which has been and will be a major talking point this season.
Another talking point of the RB14 will be the ‘Ant eater’ like vent hole in the front nose which was seen on last year’s car.
The images of the RB14 also show a ‘special edition livery’ that will be used for filming as the car stretches it’s legs around the Silverstone Circuit. The team continues to celebrate their partnership with Aston Martin which was announced last year.
In collaboration with Red Bull Advanced Technologies and designed by Chief Technical Officer Adrian Newey, the two motorsport powerhouses came together to develop the Aston Martin Valkyrie sports car in 2016.
Daniel Ricciardo will be the first to get a taste of the new car as he, along with his teammate Max Verstappen, will return as the team’s driver lineup for 2018.
Red Bull finished third in the constructors championship with the team taking three wins last season mixing it up with Mercedes and Ferrari. Red Bull are hoping to return to the power house team that took four constructor and driver titles.
